Restore a backup to the site in one click, without FTP

A backup is only as good as its restore. When a site is broken or hacked you don’t want to download archives, open FTP and import dumps by hand: you want it back the way it was.

The problem

Manual restores are slow and risky.

Download an archive, upload it over FTP, import the database in the hosting panel: on a big site that takes hours, and a mistake halfway leaves the site worse than before.

And a restore often wipes the very plugin that should be watching the site, or a configuration changed after the backup.

How it works

The site restores itself, in small steps.

    A backup first

    We save the site as it is now, so you can go back if the result isn’t what you wanted.

  2. 2

    Database in a copy

    The site downloads the parts from storage, checks them and imports the tables into temporary copies while it keeps running on its current data. Then it swaps them all in one operation.

    Files in place

    Files are written back one by one. Our plugin, its data and, if you like, the current configuration file stay as they are.

  • The plugin stays connected: nothing to reinstall after the restore

  • Optionally delete files added after the backup, useful after an attack

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does the site go offline during a restore?

No. The restored database is prepared in copies of the tables and swapped in with one operation at the end. While files are written back, some pages may briefly mix old and new.

What if the restore isn’t what I wanted?

Before starting we take a backup of the site as it is now: you can restore that one the same way.

Do I need FTP or hosting panel access?

No. You only need the plugin connected, with updates from the platform allowed in its settings.

Can I restore an incremental backup?

Yes. Every backup has a complete index: the site downloads each part it needs once, even parts from earlier backups.
